About

The Power of Pretend

Welcome to The Power of Pretend—a transformative children’s theater program where imagination takes the lead, and every child finds their voice on stage.

Designed especially for students in grades 3–5, this 20-week residency blends the fundamentals of theater with literacy, social-emotional learning, and self-expression. Through acting, movement, character development, and ensemble-building, students journey from pretend play to powerful performance.

Each session is a joyful mix of rehearsal, reflection, and discovery—guiding students to build confidence, empathy, communication skills, and a deep appreciation for storytelling and the arts.

And it all leads to a Broadway-style final production—a major school event where students shine in front of families, teachers, and the entire school community.
